  • Skin Rejuvenation

Skin rejuvenation can be achieved in a number of ways and the result is a smoother, brighter and more youthful appearance to your skin.

For patients with minimal damage, a good skin care regimen can give significant improvement and is the foundation for long term maintenance.  For patients with problematic skin, more advanced treatments are added to your skin care regimen.  Information on these services can be found below:

  • Laser Services

Our providers offer services using a cutting edge Cynosure Icon with specialized hand pieces ensuring impressive results.

The 1540 fractional, non-ablative laser is used for skin resurfacing and the treatment of surgical scars, acne scars and stretch marks – the only FDA cleared laser for this treatment.

The MaxY uses optimized light technology for the treatment of unwanted pigmented lesions – ideal for the chest, arms and hands.

In addition, the MaxG has superior clearance of vascular and pigmented lesions that goes beyond single-wavelength lasers.

  • Microdermabrasion

Medical-grade microdermabrasion leaves the skin soft and renewed with a more even pigmentation, increased skin tone and a healthy glow. A specialized device is used with a diamond tip and vacuum pressure to gently resurface the superficial layers of the skin while removing debris and imperfections.  New collagen and elastin production will result to naturally repair and revive your complexion.  Excellent for both mild acne and acne scarring, this treatment can also minimize sun damage and decrease hyperpigmentation and discoloration.

Microdermabrasion can be performed on any area of the face or body for stronger and more youthful skin.

    • Downtime: The patient can return to their daily activities immediately after treatment
  • Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is a unique exfoliation method utilizing a highly specialized blade to remove the top layers of dead skin and fine facial hairs.  Highly recommended when patients are using a daily retinol, this technique is a pain free alternative to tweezing or waxing.  Dermaplaning also smooths the skin, sloughs away dead skin cells, removes impurities, improves skin texture, evens pigmentation, and leaves skin with a refreshing glow.  Because dermaplaning exposes the germinating layers of the epidermis, topical skin treatments are more easily absorbed and penetrate deeper.  For an even greater exfoliation, mild chemical peels can be performed afterwards.

    • Downtime: The patient can return to their daily activities immediately after treatment

  • Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels involve applying a chemical solution to remove the damaged outer layers of skin and reveal a younger, clearer, more radiant complexion.

There are different types of facial peels ranging from mild to deep depending on the severity of the skin conditions to be treated.

Chemical Peels are effective in treating:

    • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
    • Sun Damage
    • Age Spots
    • Freckling
    • Acne Scaring
    • Uneven Pigmentation

After treatment, your skin will look and feel softer, smoother, and more radiant.

The patient’s skin type, the condition being treated, and the patient’s tolerance for “downtime” are all considered in the selection of the right peel.

    • Average Appointment Length with our Aesthetician: 30 minutes
    • Downtime:  Mild to moderate redness and flaking can last several days. Deeper depth peels could result in 5-7 days of heavy shedding.
  • Brow and Lash Services

Brow Enhancement Microblading is perfect for patients who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, fill-in, or add a slight arch to brows.  The smudge-proof solution provides results that are very natural in appearance.

Unlike traditional tattooing, a microblading tool is used to draw on individual “hair” strokes one by one, and pigment is implanted under the skin.  It is an extremely meticulous process that takes around two hours to complete. The results will last approximately 12-18 months before beginning to fade.

Janelle Fitzgerald, our Medical Aesthetician, will draw the brow shape with removable pencil and help the patient select a customized shape and color.  Before the microblading begins, a topical numbing cream is applied to the area to minimize discomfort.  Overall microblading feels like little scratches.

There is little or no downtime with this procedure.  For 7-10 days, patients must protect freshly bladed brows from all moisture; avoiding sweaty workouts or washing the brow area with water.  Some patients experience itching and redness during the first week, which Aquafor can alleviate.  Brows will look slightly darker first, but the color will fade 30 to 50 percent.  Overall they look great right away.  Slight redness and mild swelling is normal.  The healing process is different for everyone, and it typically takes between 25 and 30 days.  After a month, Janelle recommends a 30-minute perfecting session.

Eyebrow microblading is low maintenance!  After healing, a patient can rub them and enjoy swimming, etc.  Minimal care is required, and patients may opt for a brief touch-up once a year to freshen the brows.

    • Fee Includes: the microblading procedure (approximately 2 1/2 hours) and a post-procedure touch-up appointment (approximately 30 minutes) when scheduled 4-6 weeks after the original procedure

  • Injectables and Fillers

As we age, our skin changes. Over time, the natural volume of youthful skin begins to diminish as wrinkles and folds form. With injectables and fillers, you don’t have to just sit back and let it happen!

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent derived from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Physicians have utilized BOTOX® Cosmetic for years as a cosmetic treatment to correct visible signs of stress and aging.

The contractions and movements of the facial muscles are controlled by signals from nearby nerves. BOTOX® Cosmetic simply prevents the muscle from allowing responses to these messages. As a result, the muscle relaxes and the overlying skin remains unwrinkled and smooth.

  • Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a simple procedure whereby a sclerosing agent is injected into your leg veins using a series of micro-injections.  Approximately one injection is administered for every inch of spider vein.  As the procedure continues, you will feel small needle sticks and possibly a mild burning sensation which most patients find tolerable.  The solution causes the veins to collapse and fade from view.  The faded veins become scar tissue that are eventually absorbed by your body.

Sclerotherapy is highly effective with most patients experiencing significant, long-lasting reduction in the visibility of their spider veins. However, sclerotherapy can only treat existing spider veins, and does not prevent new ones from developing.  Generally two or more treatments are recommended depending on the scope and severity of your condition.

Average Appointment Length with our Physician: 30 minutes

Downtime: Immediately after treatment most patients experience mild bruising or discoloration that can last a week or two.  It is recommended that you wear support hose for approximately one week following treatment.  Walking and moderate exercise also aid in recovery.

LATISSE® is a prescription medication used to help you grow lashes longer, fuller, and darker. It is the only FDA-approved treatment clinically proven to grow lashes. LATISSE® is used once nightly and applied topically to the base of your upper eyelashes, as instructed by your doctor. Your results will then gradually occur. In as little as 4 weeks, you may start to see more length. At week 16 you should achieve full growth – This is not an illusion of growth, it is real lash growth.

LATISSE® makes lash growth possible because of its active ingredient, bimatoprost. Although the precise mechanism of action is unknown, LATISSE® is believed to affect the growth (anagen) phase of the eyelash hair cycle in two ways: it increases the length of this phase and increases the number of hairs in this growth phase.
